Thu, 04 Mar 2010 16:01 COUNCILLOR VACANCY It is with regret that Councillor C Juckes has decided to resign due to personal reasons. The Parish Council now have two vacancies. If you are interested in serving on the Parish Council please contact the Clerk. Please note that this is not a paid position. Wed, 03 Mar 2010 11:51 FOOTPATH ACROSS WARWICK ROAD BRIDGE A 7.5 ton weight limit is about to be implemented which will divert large vehicles down Warwick Road and as this is a distributor road, it is clear that the absence of a footpath across the bridge has led to an unacceptable level of danger. Both Parish Councils have been pursing the housing developer and Network Rail since mid 2008. The Parish Council has now decided to bring this matter to the attention of the Secretary of State for Transport in an attempt to resolve the problems. If Kibworth is choosen then we understand that the broadcasters will be seeking individuals, families, charitable groups and organisation to attend an open village meeting to put forward their views and opinions, and voice their memories, experiences and hopes for the rural community. A small fair will be held in the courtyard opposite Smeeton Road.
